So when Kerr drug brought the Tony Ferguson diet to town she decided to give it a go hoping she could shed some pounds to help lower her high blood pressure. "I know what my goal is, I want to lose 50 pounds and I've already lost 13 in 2 weeks so I'm feeling good," said Scott. Scott has already trimmed four inches off her waist. " I'm bubbly, energetic, and I feel good about myself- I think I look great," said Scott. So how does it work? Pharmacist turned diet founder Tony Ferguson based the program on the glycemic index, or how much sugar is in all the foods we eat. Ferguson claims if you keep it below 55 on the glycemic index you will never put on weight. On the diet you replace breakfast and lunch with Ferguson's shakes or soups. "They are perfectly balanced with carbs, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and protein, so it's a complete meal," said Ferguson.
